Pokémon Go baby Pokémon list - how to get Bonsly, Munchlax, Chingling, Mantyke, Togepi, Azurill, Wynaut and more

Catching methods and details for all available baby Pokémon.

Pokémon Go has a number of baby Pokémon you can only get through hatching Eggs - Togepi, Pichu Magby, Elekid, Igglybuff, Smoochum , Cleffa, Gen 3's Azurill and Wynautand Gen 4's Mantyke, Chingling and Munchlax.

Below, we'll explain how to get the new baby Pokémon and everything else you need to know about them.

How to get Baby Pokémon Togepi, Pichu, Magby, Elekid, Igglybuff, Smoochum, Cleffa, Azurill, Wynaut, Munchlax, Chingling, Mantyke, Happiny and Bonsly in Pokémon Go

What's unique about Baby Pokemon is you need to hatch them from Eggs - which means you're going to need to get walking.

The distances required to get each Pokémon chop and change based on the event in question. Our Egg chart page will give you the latest information for specific types of creatures, but in short, expect to find them in 2km and 5km Eggs, or if there's an event on, 7km Eggs. (To date, none have appeared in 10km Eggs, despite their rarity!).

The Season of Hidden Gems has arrived, bringing with it a new Go Battle League season. Depending on your region, you can currently battle Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf in five-star raids. Elsewhere, be sure to compete in Shadow Raids, use Daily Adventure Incense for the chance of encountering Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos and Galarian Moltres. This incense may also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

How to evolve Togepi and other information you should know about the new baby Pokémon

Click to enlarge - you can see silhouettes for all of the baby Pokémon at the bottom of each screen.

There are a couple of other points these new additions have raised, that are well worth knowing:

  • The frequency of these baby Pokémon appearing in Eggs will change during special events. An example is the Valentine's Day event update, which increases the rate of Cleffa, Igglybuff and Smoochum.
  • All Baby Pokémon will have an evolution. Most of these can be caught in the wild, so if you want a complete living Pokédex, then try and catch them instead of evolving the Baby Pokémon.
